Why would the back windows go down but the front windows not move on a 1994 Buick Century?

Either your window switches are bad or the motors are.

The same exact thing happened on my 92 and I just finished fixing it. There are separate ground wires between the front and rear windows. Your ground is probably bad, mine had actually broken in half in the rubber boot in between the door and the body of the car.

Because the master control on the drivers door has separate areas for all windows. Start by checking power feeds at the drivers door switch.

Probably a ground problem. Find the common ground for the lights.

The most likely problem is warped rotors. Have rotors turned or replaced. Replace front brake pads.

it would be in the relay box under the hood

User Avatar

That would be a timing chain for this car.

If it's a 6 cylinder , 6 , if 8 cylinder , which I think Buick does not make in that model , it would be 8 .

Try checking your circuit breakers largefuses or relay switches for front power windows.

I have a shimmy or small vibration while driving the interstate on my 1994 buick lesabre - if i was to check the front and rear bearings - how would i do that and what would i look for

User Avatar

A '98 Buick Regal, as with other cars, has a different size of speaker for the front and back. The front speaker size would be 5 1/4 inches, and the rear is 6 inches by 9 inches.?รฆ

always look in your owners manual. but I've driven and maintained a 90 91 93 buick century. if 6 cylinder i would suggest 4.4 litres or oil and change the oil filter at every oil change.

I have a 1990 Buick Century 3300. Just replace the Fuel Pressure Regulator. It was leaking gas. Replace the vacum lines to the Fuel Pressure Regulator but I still smell gas inside on the driver's side compartment. The smell goes away when opening the windows. Where would there be a fuel leak that would cause the raw gas smell inside the car but not outside of the car?

i have a 1976 buick regal century body has minor rust on bottom clearcoating is kinda flaking, the engine runs beautiful only 82,500 miles what would be the value

User Avatar

The most obvious answer would be a broken hose which need to be checked.

I would start with the Pickup Coil and the Crank Sensor.

The light is on because there is a fault in the system. It would be best to have the professionals take a look at it.

The transmission is not shifting in and out of gear or your front joint is going bad

User Avatar

Depending on the year, a Buick Century may have been available with a small block Chevy, so yes, probably. If it had a Buick engine, you would need a transmission with the Chevy bolt pattern. There are different tail shaft lengths, so you would need to get the same length or modify the driveshaft.
