Probably either the battery, alternator, or related wiring is at fault. Have the electrical charging system checked. Many mechanical shops and some auto parts stores will perform this test for free, especially if they think your likely to purchase parts or repairs from them. Don't be afraid to get a second opinion from another source, however, especially if you're told it's going to be an expensive fix.
It is usually caused by a bad alternator.
I would unplug the battery. This will reset your clock, etc., but it should turn the light off.
That would be "indicator lights" - any light that indicates anything. When the light is on, it may mean a piece of equipment is on; when another light is on, it may indicate an error condition. For example, when the battery in your car is running low, a red light will indicate that fact. That would be "indicator lights" - any light that indicates anything. I'm not sure about all of these, but I have a 98 Taurus and the battery light came on. After a few days, the car died altogether and I had to replace my alternator. I would definitely take the battery indicator seriously and have your alternator checked.
You have a turn signal light-bulb out .
A bad alternator/generator would cause a 'no charge' in the system, which would drain the battery while running. Also a shor tin the wiring may cause a false indicator light.
Battery or battery cables would be the first thing I would look at.Battery or battery cables would be the first thing I would look at.
that would be your oil light (add oil).
The light is set up so that when no power is being fed out from the alternator the light circuit is grounded and lights the indicator lamp. When you first turn the key on it will light. When the engine is started and the alternator is excited it will feed power out and the circuit will no longer be closed turning the light out. If the light is on it may be a bad alternator, wiring or just a fuse. There are 4 fuses involved with that system. If the light is on then the main ignition fuse is ok. The gauge fuse shouldn't have effect but I would check it. There are also a 5 amp and a 100 amp fuses for it in the fuse and relay compartment. The battery could be going dead from the alternator not recharging the battery. Hence the light coming on indicating it not charging. Or from a drain on the battery. Since your indicator lamp is on I would opt for it not charging. Almost any parts store can test the alternator for you of you take it in to them. This will verify it is a problem with your alternator and not the wiring or fuse.
Some good features to look for in a baby monitor would be compactness, if there is a low battery indicator light, and a sound activated light. Some other things to consider would be band width and multiple receivers.
Well I figured out the problem. The negative terminal on the battery was not making good contact due to corrosion build up. Cleaned the terminal and the lights went out. It appears that a poor connection resulted in the lights staying on.
Why would battery light come on then go off
