it sounds like a bad dimmer switch to me ,but without knowing if the car has a (DRL)daytime running lights control unit. the control could have a bad ground , and that ground is behind the left kick panel.

Check the grounding of the bulb. Make sure it was plugged in properly.

Why would your lowbeam headlights quit working and cruise control?

It is possible that both of the fuses are bad for the low beam headlights and the cruise control. A loose ground wire could cause the fuses to blow.

Why did both of my lowbeam headlights fail on my Colorado?

If both lowbeam headlights fail at once, it probably isn't the lamps themselves. That would be a fluke. The wiring is usually not at fault. It is vulnerable at the ends where the connectors are because they might become corroded. Check that last. That leaves the two other vulnerable points in the circuit: the fuse and the light switch. Check them out.

What would cause Brights not to work on a 1990 Chevy Corsica?

When is it safe to use your bright headlights?

It is safe to use the bright [highbeam] headlights when there is no oncoming traffic/drivers who could be blinded by the bright light. Also, it is unsafe to use highbeams when there is fog or smoke which would reflect the light back to you, thus reducing the distance which you can see.

Kia Sportage 2002 model headlights and highbeam not working fuses checked ok.?

i know this will sound silly but first make sure the headlights themselves are not blown.you would be surprised how many Kia's come into my shop with headlights not working and all the headlights are blown. after that get a volt meter and disconnect the light and test to see if you have power , remember the dimmer switches are famous for cold solder joints and will also cause this problem.

What would cause daytime running lights and fog lights to flicker while highbeam indicator on dash flickers on 2001 Monte Carlo - Car switches to regular headlights after few secs?

i'm guessing the light switch is getting old and worn....good luck also everyone should have a manual for their vehicle, and the library should have a professional manual available...in the reference section, you'll have to make copies of the important sections...good luck :)

Where on a 1991 ford probe lx would the switch to put the headlights up and down be?

The headlights go up and down when you turn the headlights on. If they are not going up or down they may be disconnected from the motor. You would have to take the headlights out to see if they are disconnected or not.
