Hi There could be a few things wrong, The contacts where you push for the horn, the contact ring under the driving wheel bezel, harness, fuse, or horn it'self. I would test the horn by using a jumper lead wire from the positive [red side] of the batt, and to the plug on the horn, if it works then You check the fuse, if they are ok check the wiring. IMHO It's most likeley to be a bad connection at the horn or a dead horn. PS: Also make sure that the horn is well grounded to the chasis. Check in this order. 1]Fuses 2] If horn works by giving it power from the batt. 3] good ground 4] Wheel switch with a test light on the plug that goes on the horn and the other and on a ground [ any metal part of the body, or - terminal on the batt [black wire] press the horn if the test light lights up thenit's most likeley the horn. A loose wire or a blown fuse would.
i have a 96 jetta and i looked at the fuse box and found the horn fuse and it was blown changed the fuse and the horn worksso i would look at the fuse box find your horn fuse and see if its blown change it out with the same amp fuse and push the horn button that might fix your problem
Most likely a blown fuse. Otherwise bad wiring going to the horn or a bad horn.
it is something beside a fuse,it would not work at all with a blown fuse
Most likely a blown fuse. But, the horn itself can be defective.
Check the fuse, and all connections to the horn. If you find nothing wrong, then apply 12 volts directly to the horn. If it blows the horn is good, and the horn switch may be bad. If it does not blow, visit your local salvage yard for a used horn. dont think the fuse in the fuse panel is the only one for the horn... in the relay center under the hood there is a horn fuse as well, that was where mine was blown. good luck
a blown fuse.
It it either a blown fuse, defective horn, bad ground, or defective horn switch. Check the fuse, if it is blown, replace, if it is good, run a wire to the horn directly from the battery. If the horn blows, suspect a bad horn switch.
look in your fuse panel for a fuse labeled HORN..pull it out and see if it is blown (broken)
You have a loose wire, blown fuse or a faulty horn.
check the fuse in the internal fuse box maybe a 10 or 20 fuse the wire or connection could at the horn (spade fitting) check the fuse in the internal fuse box maybe a 10 or 20 fuse the wire or connection could at the horn (spade fitting) fuse blown wire r connection off at horn its self fuse blown wire r connection off at horn its self
Blown fuse would be a Starting Point. Hope This Helps.
