Honda programs the light to come on at certain mileage intervals. After 5,000 miles, it will blink for 5 seconds upon starting. After 7,500, it stays on until reset. The purpose of the light is to remind you to change your oil. You should perform the reset sequence each time you change your oil. Once reset, it will come on again at the aformentioned intervals.

With the ignition switch in the off position, press and hold the odometer reset button while at the same time turning the ignition to the on position. After a few seconds the maintenance required light will go out.
More than likely means you need an oil change. Look in your owner's manual and it will tell you what maintenance is required based on your mileage.
The question doesn't make the most sense, but I think you're asking about the maint reqd light on the dash. Its just there to tell you, "Its time to change your oil." You'll have to check your owners manual to learn how to shut it off.

The maintenance required light requires a scan tool to be reset.
A variety of codes could be set to illuminate the Check Engine light, most likely it is an O2 Sensor code but to be on the safe side have it read. After a few thousand (> 30K) miles it isn't uncommon for the light to come on. My advise, Get it checked.
Unplug or replace maint. timer

HOPE THIS HELPS...ON MY ACURA(TOP-FLIGHT-HONDA) THERE IS A MAINT. REMINDER ON THE DASH THAT TURNS AMBER AT MAINT. INTERVALS. YOU STICK YOUR MAIN IGNITION KEY INTO A RESET SLOT NEAR THE LIGHT, AND THIS TURNS THE LIGHT FROM AMBER BACK TO GREEN. I THINK IT WORKS OFF OF THE ODOMETER ....GOOD LUCK! ..BB
