You have a warped rotor. Brake pads need replacing and the rotors turned or replaced.
Probably warped brake rotors. They can be removed and resurfaced or replaced with new ones.
Be sure to check suspension components. Namely the tie-rods...
Probably i would go for wheel balance and maybe check your wheel bearings rotors will not make it shake because of speed
At low speed: Damaged or failed tire, bent wheel, damaged brake, damaged axle. Dangerous failure of a wheel bearing. At high speed generally a wheel balanace problem. While braking a bent or warped brake component.
4 time ASE certified tech here, warped front brake rotors will make your brake pedal pulsate and steering wheel shake when braking. most noticed when moderate braking at 40 - 50 mph.
maybe the car need to be linged up n check the power steering.
Wheels are out of balance
lose bolt no seriously its probly your alinement is off
You may have a bent wheel, defective tire where a steel belt has shifted or broken, worn steering parts, and possibly a defective wheel bearing.
If it shakes just driving at around 50 mph then the tires need balancing. If it shakes when stopping you have a warped rotor. Edit: tire balance problems are most noticeable starting at around 35 mph. Balance problems can be undetectable by 50 mph. Can also be a bad tire which will be more noticeable usually at slower speeds. Steering wheel shake normally indicates a problem with the front end while a shake felt in your feet and/or the seat will be in the rear. Shake while braking will usually be a rotor problem, however can be a bent hub or spindle and even loose steering parts. Need to take to a qualified tech for further diagnosis.
The terminology for this system is ABS (anti-lock braking system). This prevents wheels from locking while braking heavily. The reson behind this is that when a wheel is locked, it cannot steer, which can lead to accidents. The point of ABS is not reduce the braking distance, but to alllow this vital steering while emergency braking.
shifted or broken belt in the tires
