Look for a fuse on the left-panel below the driver. It controls the inside middle stop-brake light and the transmission button.
You might have a broken or worn transmission/engine mount.
Most speedometers are run off of the transmission. Something was not correctly put together.
No... A corolla engine is made by Toyota for a Toyota Corolla vehicle... The Chevy Prism is made by Chevy... Chevy and Toyota are different companies...
Which highest performance Toyota engine would fit in my 1985 Corolla
In the United Kingdom the Toyota Auris is the successor to the Toyota Corolla, in other words the Auris is what the Corolla would look like today had Toyota decided not to change the name. Maintenance wise, the Auris and Corolla are both viewed by Toyota as the same car in terms of services and therefore both follow the same maintenance schedules.
For a manual transmission on this car the best fluid would be GL-4 or GL-5 75W-90 gear oil. For an automatic Mercon 3 would be the type to use.
The new 2011 Corolla S has 134hp. That would be stock .
It would be "Toyota Corolla.
I would assume it would be a Toyota Corolla, Toyota Camry, or Honda Civic
No. 87-89 Corolla might but doubtful. Celica is a bigger motor and it would not match up to the transmission.
It would be cheaper to repair or replace the automatic transmission. There are too many differences between a standard transmission and an automatic to economically swap in a standard.
The year and engine size would help me to help you.
