The most common cause is damaged wiring for the power seats. The insulation wears down and shorts out against the seat frame. It's a known issue and can cause problems with the interior lights, door locks, power windows, lumbar, and can even start a fire.

AnswerThe above answer may very well be correct but, it would seem to me that considering that CTSY LP which stands for Courtesy Lamp, would indicate a problem with this circuit. although they may be on the same circuit. Check the courtesy lamp sockets and wiring. Answer

I see these 2 answers as possible... but I'm not sure. I have a '97 or '98 Chevy S-10 Maroon Blazer. I did wiring on it for audio and got up into the wiring for my cigarette lighters... I've noticed that whenever I push in the cigarette lighter it shorts out. I've also noticed how faulty the wiring is... replace ur CTSY LP fuse... and get about 5-10 more fuses for it... ($5-$10 depends where u get them from) play around with the cigarette lighter plug and stick different things in watching your dome light (have your door open) watch to see if it goes out.. if it goes out, its the wiring in the cig lighter.... u can either re-wire it yourself completely. or search every little possible connection point from the dc port to the battery and see where it could possibly short from wetness/resistance loss/lost ground/etc.
