There must be a restriction within the intake. Snow? ice? Mark
Mini motorcycles such as the Minimoto can be upgraded to accelerate quickly just like larger motorcycles. The carb can be upgraded, a larger exhaust can be installed, and the intake can be modified.
On my 1995 with 4.0 L OHV engine , the fuel rail is installed between the lower and upper intake manifold sections

On a 1996 Ford Explorer : 4.0 litre EFI , V6 engine : From what I have read the camshaft position sensor is on top of the engine , about the center line , at the rear of the engine near the firewall You can't see it with the " plastic " intake manifold installed
Usually it is difficult to install a maf backwards unless modifications (and an associated mistake) have been made to the intake system. this also depends on the design of the sensor and sensor housing. When installed backwards, the vehicle may idle fine and even rev with no problem; however, while driving, most assuredly the check engine light will come on, the vehicle will hesitate and stall when attempting to accelerate, etc. Diagnostic codes will point toward the maf sensor malfunction. The sensor is not able to properly calculate the flow of air to the engine, thus causing the problems.
follow the top radiator hose to the front of the engine. Right under the intake manifold answer Thermostats are located in the engine intake of any ford explorer.
Crack in intake or exhust, or belt glazing- Check all the intake and exhust bolts.
The IAT sensor is installed in the intake air duct
I would say e-bay. I just bought a cold air intake for $19.99 with $23.00 shipping. I got it installed today in around and hour. When you start it up and let it idle or accelerate quickly it sounds mean!
throttle module under hood attached to the intake manifold needs replaced
it is in the air intake canister
