Your truck may smell like a number of things when you accelerate if you have a leak in the ventilation system. It is possible to smell burning motor oil, gas, windshield washer fluid and other things.

Why when I breath do I smell Ammonia in my nose?

Yes I have experienced that too. Sometimes when I work in a chemistry laboratory and too much ammonia is released in a reaction, I smell Ammonia for like the whole day. I think its just some brain trick.Another reason could be that your toilet is not cleaned properly and ammonia is released from there. Also sometimes smelling Ammonia all day can be a symptom of Liver or Kidney disease. I would say you should consult a doctor if the smell is too persistent.

Does ammonia help eliminate decomposed dead human body odor?

The smell of rotting meat comes largely from amines like putrescine and cadaverine (and they smell pretty much exactly how you would expect from their names). I wouldn't expect ammonia to be particularly helpful in getting rid of the stink. Covering it up, maybe, but the smell of ammonia isn't particularly pleasant either.

Which planet wouldn't smell so good?

Why does your urine smell like ammonia?

We who work in Urology sees this all the time. When urine smells of ammonia it means you have a urine infection. It's treated with antibiotics so see your doctor.Urine is high in nitrates, compounds high in nitrogen and oxygen. Ammonia is made up of nitrogen and hydrogen. (NH3) What you are smelling is the high concentration of bonded nitrogen.Normally, diluted urine doesn't have much odor. If you're dehydrated and your urine becomes highly concentrated, it can have a strong ammonia smell. (Source - Mayo Clinic)As a general precaution, If you are smelling ammonia in your urine, it would not be a bad idea to go to your general practitioner (family doc) and have a hepatic function panel done to rule out serious liver issues. In our urine, Ammonia acts as an absorber and leads to water absorption.

How often sould a horses stall be cleaned if the horse is in it frequently?

At the very least, once a day, but you can't clean it too often. I think it would be better to be cleaned out at least 3 times, or the best woudl be to clean it as soon as it hits the ground, but that's not possible for many people. In their waste is ammonia, and this ammonia will damage their lungs. Studys show that by the time we can smell ammonia, it is already so strong that it is damaging the horse's lungs. So you never want to be able to smell the ammonia.

How many gallons of gas does a anhydrous ammonia tanker truck hold?

Ammonia in a gaseous state would be measured in cubic feet. Ammonia tanker trailers would be sized based upon how many gallons of liquid ammonia they could legally carry in the state/states in which they would operate and the weight limit of each of these states. Generally speaking, Anhydrous Ammonia would weight 5.15 pounds per gallon at 60 degrees Fahrenheit. Example, let's say that a state's maximum legal load limit for it's roads is 80,000 lbs. The truck pulling the trailer weighs 14,000 lbs and the trailer that is being pulled weighs 23,000 lbs. The combined truck and trailer weigh 37,000 lbs leaving you 43,000 lbs of product you can carry before you reach the maximum legal load limit of 80,000lbs(80,000-14,000=66,000, 66,000-23,000=43,000). This would allow you to legally haul 8,349 gallons of liquid anhydrous ammonia (43,000/5.15=8349.515).

If your teacher opened a bottle of ammonia in the front of the class room you would smell ammonia at the back of the classroom a short time later explain what has occured?

It is a popular misconception that diffusion has occured (especially by my science teachers) but diffusion is far to slow to move ammonia from the front to the back of the room. What is occurring is that air currents are moving the smell of ammonia all around the room. There are always small air currents no matter how still the air in the room may seem. This is way way faster than diffusion.
