Possible causes include broken wire, failed switch, blown fuse, faulty flasher.
Replace the Flasher Relay.
a bulb is bad and must be replaced
You need to check the fuse box, it everything is fine there. You have to test the relay.
Yes. See "Related Questions" below for more on Taurus/Sable flashers, and a fix for common problems.
Could be the flasher unit.
The flasher relay is more than likely defective. One flasher controls both the turn signals and the hazard lights. It is located on the driver side, behind dash, mounted above kick panel.
Replace the switch. I had the same problem. You can purchase the switch at any auto parts store it easily clicks in and out.
It should be in the fuse box in the 2000 models. On 2001 and newer, it is under the driver's side dash, just above the data link connector. For 2000 Durangos only: More correctly it is the square green relay looking unit located at the top and back side of the fuse box. IE it must be removed by reaching up to the top of the fuse panel from underneath the dash. I hate to say it, but when I had this problem, it WA because I didn't connect one of the plugs well and it came apart.
The engine codes for a 2000 Dodge would be either 2 digits long or 4 digits and start with a "P".The engine codes for a 2000 Dodge would be either 2 digits long or 4 digits and start with a "P".
there are actually 2 flashers . I had one heck of a time finding that out, I bought a couple of flashers that the parts store told me the car had, but unbeknownest to them, there are 2. I found out by asking a mechanic at pep boys
If I knew I would not ask.
