I have had a similar problem with my 1998 Chevy Malibu. I am going to assume your car has the 3.1 litre engine. The very first thing you need to check is fuse 37 underneath the hood of your car, the fuse box located on the drivers side, that is near the master cylinder. When I replaced that fuse my 2 gauges both began working again.
where are the senders on a 1993 Chevy corica for the oil and temputer gages to reinstall
It could mean that the oil pressure is low or the temperature is high..It's telling you to look at the gauges on your dash.
Check for a blown fuse.
check gages mean your gas low you have to get gas
The check gages light on the Pontiac Firebird Trans Am means to check temperature, low oil possibly, water. These are to be kept maintained for the car to run properly.
what is wrong when your gages on dash board stop working on your 1997 chevy astro van?
force gages, torque gages
pull trim piece towards you, the one that goes around gages and speedo its real easy
Gages Lake, IL is in Lake county.
The stepper motors behind the gauges. Cheaper to get the motors on Ebay than a whole new cluster
gage of temperature go to hot position but is not hot the engine check gages light come on
Fuel and temp use the same fuse on many old gm models. It's usually not clearly marked so it takes a service or Chilton's manual to find it. That or power, ground problem. I've just had the same problem on my 01 Malibu both gages stopped responding, and the ac no longer worked, it's a blown fuse in slot #37 under the hood reason isn't so hard to find is that the manual and fuse diagrams don't mention anything about fuel or temt. Replacing the 10 amp fuse fixes the gages, on the down side if I turn on the ac the fuse blows again. I hope this help you.
