Certain people feel it is murder because of their religion and yet when we euthanize our pets and we don't view it as murder but as an act of kindness to end their suffering.

∙ 13y agoI think that mercy killing is against God because you are taking the life of another. Sometimes we want to spare others from what we consider pain so we've convinced ourselves that it's ok to put Spot down because he's old and blind and we want to end his suffering so he can go to a better place (this applies to people, too!), but according to God murder is murder and it doesn't matter what the reason or excuse behind it. We try to take mercy into our own hands when we should be giving it to God in pray and asking for His mercy in His own time.
