If you turn off equipment when you are not using it, you will save power (and reduce your electric bills). In addition, you avoid overheating. Computers generate some heat when they are on, even if you are not doing anything with them. And it's hot enough.
you go to control settings and press user , then it should have single user and then it says on/ and off and your press off !
Turn it off. Sorry :(

This must be something to do with the wiring. I think that you should take it to the apple store.

If you try to turn it on and it just keeps shutting itself off, maybe there is an issue with a fan?

In order to turn the mouse of to an i mac you turn the mouse over and you should see a switch if it is bluetooth and then turn that off but if you want to disconnect it you have to go to system preferences and select mouse and then just disconnect it

You don't usually have to turn off the "mouse and keyboard" at all. On some models of the mac, the power button was on the keyboard, but pressing it starts the computer, it doesn't turn off the keyboard. If you have a wireless keyboard/mouse, then if you don't turn them off they're still running on battery power. The batteries won't last as long if you don't shut them off, but you don't HAVE to do it.
