NaOH is required promote Aldol and dehydration at the end of the reaction.
Moreover, the percentage of NaOH is less as greater %age would promote Cannizaro reaction.

KMnO4 is called as potassium permanganate.uses of KMnO4it is used as an oxidizing agenthelps in converting alkenes into diolsit also acts as an antisepticfor the synthesis of organic compounds...!!
HiActually for the preparation of ZnO nanoparticles ammonium hydroxide is commonly used . I am currently working on this method Co precipitation and sol-gel.I didnt come across NaOH in coprecipiattion and it s not giving good results also .if u r getting any result please let me knowMy email id is knownano8@gmail.comHiiiiActually ammonium hydroxide is also used for the synthesis of ZnO by just simple stirring for one complete day.... you also use bases like ammonia , triethylamine etc for the synthesis of ZnO.
40 grams, this is the 1M NaOH standard laboratory solution.
it depends on the concentration of NaOH, pepsin, buffer used, ... that cannot be answered in that way...

Sodium carbonate is used for neutralization in detergent synthesis because it is basic enough to deprotonate the precurser to the synthetic detergent but if excess is added will not result in a soap with a very high pH as NaOH would. 150 M NaOH = 150 mole / liter 20.0 mL = 0.0200 L 150 * 0.0200 = 3 moles
NaOH can be used in this situation.
