Was looking up on another VW polo issue (how to replace light bulb), but noticed this question that had been posted.
My UK '52-plate VW polo makes a squeeking noise ! Only started doing it within the last 6 months I'd say. I thought it might have been something to do with the suspension, shock absorbers or brakes. So, took it to my freindly local garage. They got it up on the ramp and found nothing wrong. Also took one of the mechanics for a spin and it did'NT make the squeeking at the time (typical!). I only use the car a run-about and so most of the time it's just me driving in the car.
Wondered if it's something that is common in the VW Polo or if anyone knows the roof-cause of this annoying noise, which seems to come from the front left hand side of the car.
Half expecting the front wheel axel to collapse when I hear this noise sometimes.
My Polo was making a high pitched squeaking noise about 6 months ago. My fan belt dropped off a couple of days later. It just started making the noise again a few days ago, my neighbour is a mechanic and he said fan belt was loose. He tightened something near this and the squeaking has stopped
If the noise is a squeaking sound, it could be coming from the bearings in the blower fan. It could also be coming from a worn bushing or bearing in the blower motor.
A squeaking noise coming from the glove box on a 2003 Dodge Ram might be the heater blower fan. Try oiling the fan to see if it will stop. It could also mean that a screw is missing from the dash and the squeaking noise is the dash moving a little in that area.
bad wheel bearings will do that, usually in the front.
In order to tell you that you would have to describe the noise and what the car is doing when the noise is made. Are you idling, driving, just turned the AC on? What is occurring and what is the noise? Idling and sounds worse when AC is on. Sounds like it is coming from the top of the engine. Vehicle has 120k miles

A high pitched squeaking or whistling sound in the front right of a 2003 Grand Cherokee Limited V8 while driving could be due to a worn-out serpentine belt, a faulty wheel bearing, or a brake issue such as worn brake pads or warped rotors. It is recommended to have the vehicle inspected by a mechanic to diagnose and address the specific cause of the noise.
it will keep makeing the contious noise.
