It's because rotary motors have an oil injection system. If they don't inject oil to lube the apex seals you motor will self destruct. Just keep an eye on your engine oil level because they are designed to use oil, also, if you plan to run a rotary hard put a pint of 2 cycle oil in your gas from time to time. You'd be doing yourself a favor.

Sounds like you are getting engine compression in to your oil jacket.
