Most people would want the spa hotter, so in that case there is no way to use only one heater.
read the pool heaters manual.
Heaters are usually plumbed in after the filter. The pool filter/pump is what circulates the heated water. Ans: The heater will not work or fire if the pump is not running.
It depends on the temperature you have the thermostat set at. In Arizona, the heaters work even during the summers because the altitude makes a difference in how warm the pool stays.
Yes, they are well worth the cost.
You can but it will need to be a plastic or acrylic heater, inline heater, or have a heater guard over it, otherwise it may melt the acrylic. For smaller tanks small mini heaters are available that would work just fine. Check out www.bigalsonline.com they will have what you need.
A millivolt pool heater has a standing pilot (meaning it is always lit). This uses a small amount of energy as well as it can attract bugs and vermine to its warmth. Millivolt heaters are considered older technology. Electronic ignition heaters have electronics that allow the pilot to be lit only just when you are starting the heater. These electronic componants usually also allow for self-diagnostic features on most heaters. This is considered newer technology and is the direction the industry is moving in. Millivolt heaters are usually slightly less expensive and are easier to work on mechanically, but electronic heaters are becoming more popular and technicians are learning to work on them more and more and they will soon replace Millivolt heaters. You can find great deals and free shipping on both Millivolt and Electronic ignition heaters and more information at www.swimmingpoolsetc.com!
yes in a way. block heaters heat the coolant in the block there for warming the block up. coolant heaters heat the coolant out side the engine like in the hoses and radiater. and when the coolant gets hot enough it opens the thermosate and starts flowing through the engine..The coolant heater should be hooked into the engine so that it heats only the engine and the heater core. If the coolant heater is trying to heat the radiator then it will not work very well to heat the engine, you would need a lot of BTUs to heat the radiator as it will shed all that heat to the air that is surrounding it.
it doesnt work, it breaks it doesnt work, it breaks it doesnt work, it breaks
A number of problems can cause a swimming pool heater not to work. The most common I have found is lack of water flow. A heater needs a certain amount of water flowing through it to work correctly. The next most common problem is due to the pilot not lighting or remaining lit. This is usually due to the pilot generator not working. When you light a pilot light and have to hold it for a length of time before releasing the button you are allowing the pilot generator to heat up and then stay open to keep the pilot lit. Usually you need a licensed person to do work with changing items on a gas unit. The thermostat can be a problem for any water heater. Most of the heaters I have worked on were gas. If you have an electric heater waterflow still needs to be checked and the electrical connections can become corroded in the presence of chemically treated pool water.
Some pool heaters have an internal bypass valve that improves efficiency by limiting the amount of water flowing through the heat exchanger. These can stick so that water flow mostly bypasses the heat exchanger...the heater gets hot but very little heat is transferred to the pool.Other answerers have suggested the following:Your airflow over the pool is cooling the water even as it is being heatedYou may not be running the pool pump long enough. Is the heater not maintaining temp? Is the thermostat turned up? Is the filter clean? When was the last time it was back washed or cleaned? You may be using the wrong size heater for your pool and the water to heat ratio that your heater is made to work with may be out.
The infrared quartz heaters have the infrared emitters and they emit infrared rays continuously to heat the heater in the instrument. The heat is generated and infrared emission stops.
Yes, portable car heaters do work, but it is best to look at reviews of different kinds before purchasing them. Make sure to check whether it is simply a car heater or a car defrost/defogger.
