NO, this is too large a tire for this vehicle. The OEM size is 265/75-16 and that is what you should install. The 285/75-16 tire is 3.63% larger and you should never go over 2.99%. Your speedometer will read 57.8 at a true 60 mph. Your truck will use more fuel, and your handling, braking, and ride will be adversely effected.
I have 285/75R/16 on my 99 dodge 1500 I used my stock rims. They fit find.
