I have Goodyear Wrangler SRA's measuring 255/70-17 on my 2010 Sport. They are equivalent to a 32" tire. No problems at all using the factory alloy wheels.
Could be either 3.55 or 3.73 :1
The only factory front axle that came in a 2001 Jeep Wrangler is a D30.
31x10.5-15 is the max for a on/off-road use TJ without a lift. Jeep offered 30x9.5-15 from the factory which is what I'm running on my 97 TJ Sport an it looks great.
Yes, but why would you want to?! That tire is barely 30.6" tall and a 32" will fit.

31/10.50 without rubbing
No.
You could fit 35s on it. 34s shouldn't be a problem.
no
The 1994 Wrangler DOES come stock with a spare tire mounted on the back.
You can go as large as 31" tires without having to lift it.
31 X 10.50 should be the max. Not with the stock rims though.
