It depends on whether or not the intake ports match on the cylinder heads. You can get that info from one of parts exchange guides you may find online.

Are cylinder heads on a big block mopar interchangeable?

I know you can put 383 on a 440 and 400 on a 383 but i dont know about 440 on a 383 or 400 All Big Block Mopar B/RB Cylinder heads are interchangeable, there may be conflict with intake and exhaust manifolds on the 62'-65' max wedge heads, also the pre 64' closed chamber heads used a different rocker set-up than the later heads., You can still use them on a later motor just have to use the corresponding valve-train. Any 67' model and earlier head, is of a closed chamber design and will raise the compression of a 68' and later motor. Also, any pre 76' heads will have unhardened exhaust valve seats , which means they won't last long on today's unleaded gas unless you have hardened seats installed...

Will 350 heads fit a 400 block?

350 heads will bolt to the 400 block. They will need to be drilled for the "steam ports" in the 400 block.

Can you use 350 aluminum heads on a 400 motor?

if you stand in front of your truck, on the right hand side, closes to fan, remove your first spark plug, that's the #1 cylinder.AnswerThe above answer is incorrect unless you have a Chevrolet 400. The Ford 400 V8 number one cylinder is located passenger side, front of engine, not drivers side.

What is the difference between a Pontiac 400 and a Pontiac 455?

The Pontiac 400 has a bore of 4.12 and a stroke of 3.75. The Pontiac 455 has a bore of 4.15 and a stroke of 4.21. The 455 cylinder heads will have larger combustion chambers than the same year 400 heads to achieve comperable compression ratios on the larger engine. The blocks are physically the same size, but 455 has larger main bearings than the 400. 455=3.25 400=3.00, so crankshafts will not interchange. Cams, heads, intakes, exhaust, connecting rods, push rods, rocker arms...etc will all interchange.
