As long as apple continues to be available only for mac computers, offering only one choice of hardware, Microsoft Windows will be the obvious choice for anyone who does not want a mac, and is probably the reason why apple today only own about 8% of the OS market vs Microsoft at 73%. The only reason why apple is worth more than Microsoft is because most of their revenue come from ipads, iphones, ipods, and a range of other i products in contrast to Microsoft as a pure software company.
