With either 2.8L 4 cylinder or 3.5L 5 cylinder engine... it may experience a conditon where the intake valve seats may wear.... this will cause partial misfire and i llumination of the service engine soon light.. continued operation and resulting in additional wear and may eventually lead to engine idle roughness..GM is providing owners with additional protection for the engine protection for the engine intake valve seat wear condition... if this condition occurs on your Colorado within 7 years of the date your vehicle was originall placed in service or 100,000 miles, whichever occurs first, the condition will be repaired for you at no charge..call your dealer in advance to order parts...customer service can be reached at 1-800-630-2438 or1-800-833-2438 or write Chevrolet PO box909989, Milwaukee, WI. 53209-9989
