I have read articles stating that GooGone will remove nail polish from carpeting - BUT, I don't know about hair....if you do try it, only use a small amount. But you may want to consult a hair salon/stylist, as they may have an easier method of removing the nail polish from your hair. Possibly nail polish remover? With or without Acetone? Though Acetone may damage hair/skin.... Goo Gone on the other hand, is a citrusy "oil" - so I'm thinking it would be safe on hair, but not too sure, as I'm no health professional ;)

Yes! A toenail fungus can live between the nail and the polish. Also, the polish should definitely be discarded after use on infected nails. You can pick up a bottle of nail fungus remover over the counter at most pharmacies. You will be better off to keep polish of your nails until the fungus is gone. (I learned this while in college for Nail Technology).
