No religion, whether Heaven religion or not, could be a cause of war. All religions, and Islam religion in particular call for tolerance and peaceful world. However, people may go into war under forged and falsified religious causes to conquer others and/or take control of more resources (as oil, gold, uranium, water, lands for agriculture, diamonds, ... etc.).

Islam does not allow going into war unless in either of the two cases:

  • being faced with attacks to occupy their lands and getting control of their resources.
  • being called for help by others who are subject to oppression and who are deprived from practicing their free will in life and beliefs.
Even in the above two cases, Islam religion calls Muslims first to seek peaceful and fair solutions as far as possible before getting to the solution by war. If they are obliged to go into war they should be fair (not to gain by force what they don't have right to, not to kill any civilian, not to destroy any civilian property, not to destroy plants or any civilian infrastructure, and not to destroy and religious building).

One may look into history to find lots of evidences on the above when Muslims were having the upper hand of power.

How did the assassination of Franz Ferdinand lead to the First World War?

1The assassination in itself didn't really cause World War I. It merely triggered it. Europe had been close to war for ages for a variety of reasons that I won't go into right now. Germany, Austria-Hungary and Italy were all allied. This meant that if any one of them got attacked, the other two would pitch in and help as well. This was called the Triple Alliance. Britain, France and Russia did the same thing. This was called the Triple Entente. At the time, Bosnia was part of the Austria-Hungarian empire. However, some Bosnians didn't like this and wanted to join up with their neighbours Serbia instead. Serbia also wanted to join up with Bosnia. So, when the heir to the Austrian throne, Franz Ferdinand, got assassinated in Sarajevo [the capital of Bosnia] in 1914, the Austria-Hungarians blamed Serbia for it.This would have just been a small war, fighting over Bosnia, but if you remember Austria-Hungary was allied with both Germany and Italy. So Germany and Italy got dragged into the war too. Also, Russia had agreed to help Serbia, so Russia got dragged in. Russia, in turn, was allied with France and Britain. By now, most of the larger European countries were involved in the war, and it just escalated from there.2I will do my best to answer this. The death of the Archduke lead to global conflict because his death upset Austria-Hungry and they wanted to attack Serbia but they knew that if they attacked Serbia then russia would come to the aid of Serbia so they asked germeny to back them if russia got involved and so Germany said ok so Austria-hungry attacked and russia started to mobilize there troops so Germany knew that somehow France was connected to russia so Germany decided to wipe out France so that they would not have to fight on both side of their borders. They decided to invade France through belgum which got Great Britain involved. and the rest is history!! 3When Archduke Franz Ferdinand was assassinated Austria-Hungary wanted to attack Serbia. They knew that if they attacked Serbia that Russia would defend Serbia. SO, they asked Germany to back them up if Russia were to attack them. Germany said Yes, so Austria-Hungary attacked Serbia, and Russia declared war on Austria-Hungary, and Germany declared war on Russia. Thus, WWII was started.

Will Iran attack Israel?

For the moment, Iran does not need to attack Israel. Its proxy armies like the Syrians, Hezbollah, and Hamas (all funded by and/or trained in Iran) are doing a sufficient job attacking and fighting Israel. If Israel or the United States declares open war on Iran, however, Iran will retaliate by attacking Israel since its missiles can reach targets in that area.

How does war change culture?

War has changed. Its no longer about nations or idealoligies or ethnicity. Its an endless series of proxy battles fought by mercenaries and machines. War and its compsumtion of life has become a well oiled machine. war has changed. ID tagged soldiers carry ID tagged weapons, use ID tagged gear. Nanomachines inside their bodies enhance and regulate their abilities. genetic control. information control.emotion control. Battlefield control. Everything is monitored and kept under control. War has changed. The age of deterrence has become the age of control. All in the name of averting catastrophe from weapons of mass destruction. And he who controls the battlefield... controls history. War has changed. when the battlefield is under total control... war becomes routine. Different answer: War was routine when it was fought with rocks every season by the same tribes. Technology changes, levels and capacity change, but basic tactical, logistical, and strategic issues never change. The Iraqis face the same problems against US tanks and bulletproof armor that Germanic tribes faced against heavily armored and organized Roman legions. The actual issues of engineering change, but the difficulties, how to defeat an enemy you can't directly harm in a stand-up fight, how to utilize or adjust weapons incapable of dealing lethal blows against enemy armor in a single strike, how to organize a system of traps to disrupt the supply lines of a force you can't confront directly. Another example would be international arms races, arms regulation, and cold wars. The first recorded cold war was between the Sumerians and the Elamites 6,000 years ago. They utilized proxy forces, shifting alliances, arms races, and political maneuvering in much the same way as the US and USSR until Sumeria annihlated Elam in one quick war after several hundred years. The pope banned the crossbow in the tenth century. He believed it killed people so brutally, so efficiently, that no society could survive incorporating it into a war, and it would mean the end of Christendom (and indeed the crossbow has killed many times more people than the nuclear bomb, which I compare it to in terms of it's initial tactical value). Crossbow units for years did not fight but simply marched onto or near battlefields to get the enemy to leave, or faced off with other crossbow units without violence.

What countries where against the Vietnam war?

Answer 1The countries that are against Israel are mainly the Islamic countries such as Syria, Lebanon, Turkey (it was once strong ally with Israel until the Gaza war and the Aid ship attacks), Egypt and others. One of the only countries in Europe that seem to be anti Israel is Ireland which showed support towards Palestine. South Africa use to be close allies and friends with Israel until the end of the South African Apartheid where it became more anti Israel and more pro Palestine. The countries that are strong allies of Israel are USA, UK, France, Canada, Germany, Austria, Netherlands and Indian (according to an Israeli survey pole, the Indians are more sympathetic towards Israel then Americans). Other countries that support Israel are China, Russia, Mexico, Australia and just about the whole of Europe. The rest of the world such as some central Asian countries, parts of Africa and few other countries are Neutral towards Israel. When I say that all these countries that support or are against Israel, I mean the majority of the people as well as the politicians. All of these facts are based on government research and surveys.Answer 2I do agree with you on the US and UK (the UK is one of the European countriesthat likely to side with Israel because of Scotland, which is the most religious part of the UK), and it's no coincidence that they are the two most Westernized democratic countries in the Westernized world. But I have to question your Continental Europe stance. I think that for the most part, Continental Europeans are not very religious, and therefore, they won't side with the Jews, they'll side with the Palestinians, especially Italy and Spain. You will find that South American countries are actually against Israel. Since Operation Protective Edge, Ecuador, Brazil, Chile, Peru and El Salvador withdrew their ambassadors from Israel, Bolivia has labelled it a "terrorist state", and others have cancelled their visa free travel agreements. Much of Latin America is openly supporting Palestine with Haaretz reporting "They've been more vocal than even the Arab countries." During Operation Cast Lead, Venezuelan leader Hugo Chavez accused Israel of genocide. Cuba does not recognize Israel's right to exist.Guatemala, however, supports Israel, while Argentina has not made a definitive stand.
