I found the answer to my own question. But thanks for helping me out. Yes it will fit and you don't even have to worry about the tail lights.
No they won't. They completely changed the Dakota bed in 1997
No, they are not the same size, the Dakota is a mid-sized pick-up and the Ram is a full size pick-up. The Dakota bed then would be smaller and the Ram bed wild be larger.
This question was answered already for a 1989 Dodge Dakota. "On the drivers side of vehicle, underneath the bed, in front of the gas tank, mounted to the inside of the frame."
On the drivers side of vehicle, underneath the bed, in front of the gas tank, mounted to the inside of the frame.
The truck bed dimension of a Dodge Dakota Quad Cab SLT 4 by 4 is 5 feet by 4 inches.
No, The Ram's cab is wider.
Remove the fuel tank or remove the bed.
the tail light is screwed in from the inside of the bed of the truck
Along the frame, near the cab to bed line underneath.
My son says his is under the bed of the truck.
My Dau has an extended cab 1994 Dakota. To remove have a 9/16 wrench, 9/16 socket (with about 20 inches of extension (preferred). There are 3 bolts on each side of the bed running down the frame. Remove them. Use your wrench on the last bolt (by the tail gate. Unplug your wiring harness to the lights....... Get friends..... pick up bed. Yer done.
I personally think it is easier to slide the bed back,
