Why?? The 4.3 makes as much power, is easier to install and maintain, runs better and longer without tuneups (injection is way better than a carb), all of the goodies fit properly (Alternator, AC, Power Steering pumps, etc). IF your going to go through all the work make it worth while.. put in a 350.. It is just as much work... and a lot more power.. and a late model 350 will work properly with all of the accessorie goodies above.. Besides.. there are some differences between the newer generation engines and the ancient 265/283/327 engines that are bound to get you into trouble doing a swap..
