It will fit but you will have to change the K-frame or you could mount the engine in solid with engine plates.
yes you can make it fit, my friend has a 440 in a 71 demon that was origionally a 6 cyl., he mounted the engine in with engine plates instead of motor mounts.
i have a 1970 dodge dart with a slant 6, 225 and need to know if a 318 out of 1970 dodge dart will mount up with the motor mounts and tranny.
225 Slant 6? distributor points
I believe it was a 7.5
225 slant 6, 318 v8, and a 340 v8.
right above the dampener.
It was either the 225 slant 6 or the 273 V8.
most 225 slant 6's were 1 bbl's unless it was the super six and it had a 2 bbl.
Absolutly. A Dodge Dart had the 318(5.2L) the 340(5.6L) and the 360(5.9L) V8s as options. Depending on the year will tell you what engines could be avalible. R.W.
the displacement is different. the 170 was in "family" valiants etc. the 225 was a step up. both are identical inappearance except for the intake the 170 had a 1bbl carb the 225 had a 2 bbl carb.
either change the k-frame or use motor plates to mount the engine.
you could try a chiltons repair manual from the library for your year vehicle.
