The splines on the transmissions were the driveshaft slides into are different on the 350 and 400 turbo's So that means you will have to change the yoke on the end of the driveshaft.
th 400 th 350 if it has over drive 700r4
400 has a longer stroke
A 700R4 will bolt right in. A 350 Turbo or 400 Turbo will also bolt right in but you will have to change the drive shaft.
If it is a manual trasmsiion, then yes. If it is an automatic transmission, then the answer is positively NO! Towing with the rear wheels down will damage the transmission. Remove the drive shaft.
Yes the CASES are the same. The center shaft that's in the 4x4 transmissions are longer then the 2-wheel drive trannys. That is for the transfur case will slide onto the center shaft and work. But the cases are the same.
No it will NOT interchange. The 350 and 400 turbo are actually VERY different transmissions.
NO. All 2-wheel drive and 4-wheel drive transmissions are DIFFERENT. There is a center shaft that runs through the transmission and the 4-wheel drive transmission shaft is longer so the transfur case will slide up on it. The center shaft in the 2-wheel drives are shorter. NO NEED FOR A TRANSFUR CASE.
Yes but do to the 400 Turbo Trans being much longer you will need a shorter drive shaft
350 and 400 models had the TH-350, the 454 models had the TH-400
Yes it will , but you may have to do some drive shaft work.
A turbo 350 has only 3 gears. The 700R4 has 3 gears plus over drive and lock-up converter. And it is the same as a 400 turbo with overdrive.
yes
