It will certainly help, but it will not get you into b-school per se. It's going to be a strong component of your application package and will potentially help you compensate a flaw in another area (for instance weaker GPA in undergrad), but overall the AdComs will look at the whole package and not your GMAT alone. Extracurricular, undergrad, prof experience and essays will all count a lot, too.
Consider it this way: a low GMAT score is an easy way for AdComs to ding you. It's like a cut in Golf championships. With a high GMAT score (730 is), you're showing you're "top MBA material". You still have to prove/confirm it with other elements.
For the record, I was admitted in 3 top schools with the same score. The score was certainly helpful, but not the most important part of my application.
