Not likely as GM restyled the Caprice/Impala slightly in 1980.
77-85 Impala, 77-90 Caprice, 78-83 Malibu, 78-88 Monte Carlo/El Camino
Actually yes it will. Caprice/Impalas from 1977-1996 Share the same basic chassis. It will fit, also how do I know for a fact? I have a 9c1 rear end in my 88 caprice. Also just about any and all Suspension parts from a 91-96 caprice/impala will work with a 77-90 caprice/impala. However you will now have two different bolt patterns, unless you have a 80's 9c1 police package caprice which I believe did come with the same 5x5 bolt pattern as the 91's caprice/impalas
I believe the '76 was the last Impala to have round headlights. The '77 Caprice had the rectangle shapped ones.
No, after 1987 the Caprice switched from the 5x 4.75" to the 5x5"
A 1977k Regal two door will fit on a 1976 Regal two door.
You will probably need to use block hugger headers. The fit will be VERY tight because there isn't much room for headers on a small block. If you remove the inner fenders you will have much more room but there will also be a lot of draw backs to this. Check with Hooker or another high quality brand name. Don't waste your time with flotech. They won't have what you're looking for. Here's a suggestion. I know that the same headers will fit on a 72-76 Impala and a 77-90 Impala. It is possible that a set of headers for a 72-76 big block car will also fit for the 77-90 cars.
im thinkin there might have been a few colors.. my 77 impala 305 is original red
78-87 Monte Carlo is a G-Body GM car that is smaller than a 77-90 Caprice which is a B-Body GM car. The seats in a Monte Carlo will fit in a Caprice, but they may not look quite right. You will need to do bolt location modifications. I would not recommend trying to use a bench seat from a Monte in a Caprice. It is not wide enough.
The last caprice's weight in around 4100-4200 lbs. The 77-79's weight in at 3500-3800 depending on 4 or 2 door. Don't confuse curb weight with GVWR. One is for the car, one is the most the car can weigh loaded.
what??????????????????
Its not easy. I did it on a 77 Caprice and it took me three days and two broken fingers. Take it to a shop.
2 can fit into 77, 38 times with a remainder of 1.
