None of the dashboard lights work on my 1988 Prelude. Why?
Not without electrical work. The 1997+ Preludes have OBD2 wire harness while the 92-96 Have OBD1. Different wire harness/sensors/ecu.
any engine will work with a little mod or alot of mods i wouldnt do it 86-89 honda accord should work
I just went through that exact problem with my 88 prelude, it was the ignition cylinder.
One of the harder swaps I've seen done in a Prelude. Much custom work that has to be done, should not be your first experience with building a car.
will a h23a vtech work in a 92 prelude? what extra will be needed or changed besides a chipped p28 ecu ..? I have a 92' Honda prelude s.i. with a h23a1 non vtech and im going to swap, but i need answers before i buy this engine..
Yes, with some custom mounts for the engine and transmission. This can be expensive if you have a shop do the work for you.
change the little box on the back of the gauge cluster should be white
The 97 Honda Prelude motor (h22a) will fit into a 2000 civic with custom mounts (available to purchase online), however you will need the h22a transmission, shift-linkage, axles, and ecu (full swap). The h22a motor will not work with the stock d-series transmission.
Hey E==The running lights have a module which may be bad. Good luckJoe
Assuming that you want it to work correctly, you don't. Install a new cable instead. A new cable will be inexpensive, easy to install, and it will work.
Not without custom motor mount work. Even then, the B series is smaller and has less power than the H series that go into the prelude which means your car will be slow and have terrible mileage. You can drop in an F22 which will be smaller in displacement but still won't have the kind of power the H motor will.
