It depends on which engine you have, Slant 6's and 318 & 360 can have A904 or A727 for the automatics and all the big block 440''s use the 727
I have a 1985 dodge pickup with a 225 slant six and a 3 speed overdrive transmission how do i adjust the clutch.
Yes, a 318 will fit a 6 slant engine in a 1970 Dodge Dart. You will need to also have all a bigger radiator, new engine mounts, fuel line, and clutch to name a few.

IMO, any Dodge or Plymouth model from the 1960's with the 225 ci "slant six" engine.
225 slant 6, 318 v8, and a 340 v8.
the 727 should bolt up to the 340. A 727 transmission from a slant 6 will not bolt up to a 340. Find one off of a 273,318, 340 or 360.
The power of the engine and the maximum speed of the 1965 Truck Dodge D-400 Motor Slant six 6cyl are 110 hp and 75 mph respectively.
Sorry, it will not fit. Although the transmissions themselves share the same internals and designations, the bellhousings are different and will not bolt together. A slant six transmission will only fit a slant six.
Yes, a 318 will fit a 6 slant engine in a 1970 Dodge Dart. You will need to also have all a bigger radiator, new engine mounts, fuel line, and clutch to name a few to complete the project.
