it should because car is running off alternator and if you do this it will not charge battery back up
Disconnect the negative battery cable for 10 minutes then re hook.
Disconnect the positive (+ / red) cable first. Then disconnect the negative (- / black) cable. Do not let one touch metal when other on battery. Take off brackets holding battery and remove. Replace with new battery, put in brackets... attatch cables, negative first, then positive.
disconnect the negative battery cable for about a minute, this should reset the check engine light
you keep the car running and then you disconnect the positive then the negative out of your battery. Then you get back in the car and shut your car back off. Wait for about 20 minutes connect the cables back in the battery then start your truck that should work.

Open the trunk, lift up flooring on the passenger side, loosen and remove negative cable with a ten mm wrench.
Connect a battery charger to battery positive to positive negative to negative
# Disconnect negative battery cable # Raise and support truck on jackstands # Carefully disconnect the electrical connector from the sensor and unscrew the sensor from the exhaust pipe
Disconnect battery.
# Disconnect the negative battery cable # Clearly label then disconnect the wires from the terminals on the starter motor solenoid disconnect any clips securing the wiring to the starter # Remove the mounting bolts and detach the starter
