yes, same bolt pattern. Chances are the 455 buick had a turbo hydromnatic 400 transmission, hopefully that is what your 350 had. If not, crossmember, driveshaft and linkage will all have to be modified or changed.
Chevy, Buick and Cadillac shared the same bolt pattern as did Oldsmobile and Pontiac but, some transmissions had two bolt patterns to fit all GM blocks. If your Chevy Turbo 350 transmission has the dual pattern it will fit the Oldsmobile engine, if not it won't fit.
The 1987 Trans Am didn't have a 455
The Rocket 350 oldsmobile engines will bolt in as well as the Rocket 455 olds.
Not without an adapter for the engine mounts. Without having to buy or make the adapter, the engines that will fit your car without any modifications are the 69-79, any size.....350, 400, 428, 455.
yes you can... would not recommend doing so... if the motor is stock it may work fine. when you start to add horses you need to move up to a Turbo 400. but to answer your question you can put a 350 tranny on a olds 455
No. they are different head designs.
Answer Anonymously What is the diagram and firing order for a 76 Pontiac trans am 455 engine?
yes
They will bolt to the heads fine, however the 350 has a shorter deck height so the might have clearence issues with the chassis, starter, ground, ect.
