The safest answer is...within the same body line yes. Most 60's and up rear wheel drive GM cars share the same bolt pattern... 5 on 4 3/4" That also breaks down to 5 on 120mm. Meaning that a 2005 GTO wheel will fit a 1965 GTO. It would also fit a 78 Malibu. Or a 95 S-10. These are just some examples off the top of my head to show the versatility. Backspacing not included in that equation. Most of your front wheel drive vehicles will also share the same bolt pattern in the GM line.
For the large cars, Pontiac used a 5 on 5 bolt pattern....which of course, would not fit a Chevrolet...or Pontiac for that matter, with a 5 on 4 3/4. So you need to know what wheel you're getting.

will a 3.8l engine from a Pontiac grand prix fit in chevrolet impala
YOU CAN'T. A 1500 rim has 6 stud holes. A 2500 rim has 8 stud holes. IT JUST WONT WORK
Do a little research on the rim you wish to purchase; does it have the same number of wholes for lug nuts, does it even have said holes, will the size of tires you want fit in the tire wells once on the rim and will they have to be ultra low profile, and lastly is it just a hub cap or an actual rim?
The 1997 Chevrolet Cavalier motor will fit into the 1997 Pontiac sun fire. The motor mounts and the wiring harness are exactly the same.
Yes, but you would have to go to a rim shop, and get an adapter plate to fit the lug pattern
