This requires a special adaptor plate as the patterns are different.
It is no big deal though, you need the extra room to fit the clutch/flywheel in.
There are two main sources for these parts. Both companies are easily search-able using Google
No, the tranny has to be out of a olds, Pontiac, or Buick to bolt up to a Pontiac engine.
only a Buick, olds or Pontiac engine will bolt to a Pontiac tranny as Chevy blocks have a different bolt pattern.
any Buick, olds or Pontiac turbo 350, turbo 400 or any overdrive tranny should bolt up to your engine.
it is a manual 5 speed tranny.
yes it should bolt right up as well as the original motor and tranny
The bell housing bolt pattern would be the same.
I think you will need to use the caprice tranny as the bolt holes are different on the olds tranny. Here is how it works if the motor is a Chevy you must use a tranny with the Chevy bolt patern. There is some trannys with both bolt pattern. (never seen one). If it is an olds motor you must use a BPO tranny. BPO is a Buick, Pontiac or Oldsmobile. I am sure that they do make adapter though (never seen one)
BOLT PATTERN?,,, which one?,,,,wheel?tranny belhousing? head? there are several others on that car also. be more specific, and ask again.,,,,,,Jamison.
If the tranny came off the v6 s10
any 4 speed tranny from a 340 engine will bolt to a 273, 318, or 360 engine as they are all the same engine block.
It should bolt right up to a T-5 transmission.
the tranny dipstick is on the drivers side under a bunch of stuff. its easiest to reach it from underneath. their will be 1 bolt that holds it in place.
