You can make it fit, but it wont be worth the cost or the hasstle. Remember that once you do this, you need to change the computer, upgrade the suspension since the new engine is a lot heavier, the 5 speed transmission for the v6 wont hold up to the new engine. You need to also remember that the exhaust, mounts, wiring, fuel lines, electrical lines, etc all need to be fitted to the new engine. I would honestly say that you should just go pick up a 97 z28 since they only cost around 6-8 grand for one in decent shape. You will easilly spend that much to convert the engine and you will still be left with a v6 car with a v8 engine.
