No. With the exception of wireless card drivers, Linux cannot use Windows drivers. Even then, it should only be done as a last resort.
So here are your options:Use WINE to run some programs from Windows. (May not always work)Buy and use CrossOver Games to run Windows games on Ubuntu LinuxOther than that, Ubuntu has some awesome games.
you can't logitech is only supported on windows
The Wubi application installs Ubuntu on the same partition as the Windows operating system. When the computer starts up it prompts you with either starting Windows or Ubuntu. If you choose Unbuntu an image of Linux loads on the Windows partition much like mounting an ISO image. The default folder on the partition is located in C:\ubuntu. This is referred to as a, "shell" accept in this case the, "shell" is an unpartitioned OS.
Many wireless adapters work with Windows 7. If the product does not have an explicit Windows 7 driver, the Vista driver should still work.
does not work in ubuntu. the app 'wine' in ubuntu does not support dot net framework. The installer for Xtranormal production application 'State', shows 'dot net' for install, even though system requirements do not show as needed for windows.
Drivers written for Windows Vista are not backwards-compatible with Windows XP. Most hardware that has a driver for Vista should also have a driver for Windows XP.
I'm very sure it will but the 32 megabytes of graphics memory I'm not so sure about playing games on Ubuntu though. Plus if you need an OS built for older computers pick Xubuntu. It's about the same as Ubuntu but just for older systems. So, yeah I'm sure it will run Ubuntu just fine, but if that doesn't work just try Xubuntu. PSPSlimBoy ☺ :)
Yes , all flash drives work on ubuntu
Yes. Both Windows 98 and Windows ME support the two primary driver models in place during that time period: VxD and WDM. Windows 2000 used WDM and an older driver model from the previous NT versions. Windows 95 only supported VxDs.
This game can be playing using WINE an emulation layer that allows ubuntu to run windows applications, http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=10433, be aware sound doesn't currently work
Ubuntu is a powerful, open-source operating system, free to download online. Ubuntu gives you a few more features than Windows, and it is extremely fast in the world of computing. The latest release (at least as of 11/30/10) is Ubuntu Maverick Meercat (10.10). The next release will be released April of 2011. Its codename will be Natty Narwhal and its release number will be 11.04. You can do everything (Plus a few more things) that you can do with Windows or Mac. You can even re-distribute if you want to. With Ubuntu, you are able to work in any environment you choose, including where there is no wired-network, which is hard to set up with Windows and Mac. If you ever find youself wanting to download and install a Windows program, there is a free program called WINE (Windows Executor, which will let you do so. So basically, Ubuntu is the BEST operating system that is free and open-source out there. You can use it in many different ways.
This is just my opinion, but I like playing Crysis on my Ubuntu Computer. The graphics are absolutely amazing. But, you could pretty much play any game you want on Ubuntu as long as its also compatible with windows. All you have to do is install Wine and you can run them pretty well, but some of them don't work as nicely as others.
