Yes it can fit. Even tho the heads are bigger than the windsor heads that are used in the 302, it will fit with a little room to spare on the sides
well......being you could get a 289 in a 1965 mustang new.....and a 302 is exactly the same size......exactly that is......as a 289......then Of course it will fit!......a c4 tranny?....Most came with a C4....or a three or four speed standard. Its a simple bolt in installation if you have the V8 motormounts particular to the 65-67 mustang. You will also need the trans crossmember and that's about it......If I'm right in assuming the C4 you mention came from the 1980 302. If its from a six cylinder, you will need to change the six cylinder bellhousing for a 289/302 bellhousing. and that's it....have fun.
absolutely not
302 + 65 = 367
ive got 20s on my 65 mustang but i they barely hit the frame when i turn all the way
yes they will as long as you have a very low profile tire to fit on the rims to prevent the tires from rubbing in the wheelwells
No you can not, the 67 had a different body style than the 65-6
No, your 1965 mustang uses a 4 lug bolt pattern, whereas the 2005 mustang uses 5 lug bolt patterns. Also, the offset and backspacing difference on the two wheels would be dramatic and would not be close to working. Hope this helps.

There should be room for a C-4 automatic transmission as I have a '65 and they are the same body style '64-'66 and I have a C-4 with a 302.
Underneath the cowl you can get to them under the dash
