faulty speed sensor in the transmission
ABS has nothing to do with the transmission engaging on this vehicle.
The VSS vehicle speed sensor on top of the transmission is faulty.
That is one possibility for that complaint
its either engine vibration, high rpm, black smoke!
It could be a faulty wire or connection. It could also be a faulty sensor or display unit.
I think the transmission range sensor is also known as a neutral safety switch. The problems it can cause are some of your electronics on the car not working when you shift out of park. Like your windows and raidio.

Transmission sensor problems on a 2004 Kia Optima will cause incorrect shifting, poor performance, and hesitation. Sensor failure can be narrowed down by connecting an OBDII code reader to the vehicle's computer.
YES. That is 1 out of several things that can cause a rough Idle. However, keep in mind that "faulty" sensors might actually be caused by other things, such as wiring problems, computer problems, injector problems, spark plug problems, throttle body problems, etc. You need to do a proper diagnostic sequence. It is not a good idea to just start changing parts.
could the tranfercase cause the clutch too hang up or is it the clutch slave, that could be hungup..
Yes, it can cause drive-ability problems at all speeds under all conditions.
