Can a 2001 Suzuki Vitara 2.0 Engine be swapped with a 2001 Chevy Tracker engine?
either Suzuki Vitara or Grand Vitara I have a 2.5 V-6 Tracker and mine is listed as a Suzuki grand Vitara Yours being a 2.0 4 cyln I'm not sure but it is made by Suzuki
Being surprised my 2001 Suzuki Grand Vitara (same as Tracker) had a drain plug for the transmission. I just change the fluid, not the filter or gasket.
yes it has a suzuki motor
They are set from the factory to come on as Daytime running lights. There is a way to change those setting. Go to the Edmund's tracker forum and search for Drl disconnect. The Suzuki Vitara is the same vehicle and there might be info at the forums for them also.
Night, and day. The Tracker was built by Suzuki, when Chevy owned prt of them. The whole Geo line was either Suzuki, or Toyota. Equinox, by Chevy. It is also a completely different vehicle. Too different to compare here.
Haynes makes a 86-01 Suzuki/Tracker manual that is pretty good.
** Yes, all Geo/Chevy Trackers from \'98 on are the same. Also the Suzuki Sidekick.
The 2.0 liter Suzuki engine in the Chevy Tracker uses 5-1/2 quarts of oil to function.
Chevy Tracker 2.0 4 cyl, Infiniti G20 2.0 4 cyl, Lotus Elise 1.8 4 cyl, Nissan Lucino SR20, Daihatsu Charade 1.0 3 cyl, Suzuki Grand Vitara 2.0 4 cyl Acura ARX-02a LMP Prototype
The engines in Chevy Trackers are Suzuki engines, I would recommend NGK plugs.
