That depends. If you have enough money to purchase one, then a LCD can be in a garage. If you don't have the money, I would suggest getting a job (full time preferably) and then in about 3-4 months, you should be able to buy one. You probably can get the best deal at Walmart and probably won't have to wait that long. If you still can't get one, then ask yo momma!
You'll need to look at the storage temperature and operating temperature for that particluar tv. Most can be stored down to 10 degrees F.
Obviously, it will depend on your climate.

I have used foam sheets to form an enclosure for the sides and top, and position your refrigerator against a heated wall between the garage and house; on the most bitter days of winter the fridge will have difficulties.
you need the temperature in a freezer to be colder that its' surrounding area for it to work properly
all through summer and winter.
the idea of letting you faucet drip is that moving water will not freeze..this will work the better idea would be to insulate your pipes in your garage or look forward to your water bill..they make heat tape for pipes sold at any hardware store
