If it is marked ,22 LR, yes.
Probably not. There is no standardization between makers. Come to think of it, why do different cars use different spark plugs? Same thing.
The long piece is called the barrel. It's also considered dangerous. The opening is referred to as the bore.
No, the barrel is a 629mm. If you want a 650mm barrel to fit you need the Tanaka silencer adapter. The barrel will stick out the front so cover it with a silencer.
This depends on you budget, quality of paint and what job you need done. If you are close range, the stock barrel is fine. if you need long range, get an apex or flatline barrel, if you want maximum accuracy, you need a two piece barrel and paint that fits the bore perfectly.
I just bought one at a gun show for $100.00. It is in near mint condition. It is a 4 barrel and is marked "USE 22 SHORT ,LONG OR LONG RIFLE"
With CANNON- first number (40) is the bore diameter in millimeters. Second number (60) is the length of the barrel in calibres- Note the spelling of calibre. It means the barrel is 60 times as long as it is wide.
The longest I could find was a 670 mm from EdGI (not compatible with stock hop-ups though). In fact, I couldn't find any barrel that long, even non tight bore.
short
there are (basically) two types of trapdoors. The rifle and the carbine. (There is also a cadet model) The rifle barrel is 32 5/8" long and the carbine barrel is 22" long. Since you say 'short forearm' it would appear you have a carbine. Measure the barrel to be sure. As to value, it would depend on overall condition, finish, serial number (when it was made) bore and wood...................send me the full serial number and I will tell you when it was made.
Two different meanings for firearms. For artillery, caliber is the relation of the diameter of the bore to the length of the barrel. A gun on a Navy Destroyer might be known as a 5 inch 38 caliber- meaning it fires a 5 inch diameter shell, and the barrel is 38 times 5 inches long. However, for rifles and handguns, it means the fractions of one inch that equal the diameter of the bore. So a .30 caliber rifle has a bore than measures ABOUT .30 inches, a .50 caliber ABOUT .50 inches, and so on. Some firearms have measurements from the metric system- a 9millimeter pistol has a bore diameter of ABOUT 9mm.
Routledge bore is a smooth bore for 22 rimfire rifles. It is most likely named after the person who originally came up with this type of bore. The barrel is smooth bored after the chamber at 22 caliber bore . Then appr 14 inches from the muzzle it spreads out to about.410 all the way out to the muzzle. Looking at the muzzle end it appears to be a mini shotgun. These rifles were made to fire 22 rimfire shot cartridges and were generally used for pest control or shooting at mini clay birds or crackers.
