I have seen it done. Contact Art Morrison, in Washington, or Alston Cassis works, in California. One of them will make a kit, or know som eone that does. Kits, are by far the best way to go, as they will have adapter motor, and trans mounts, headers, and remember, you will have to reinforce the frame, which will come with the kit. You will have cooling system problems, so, go right to an aluminum radiator, and electric water pump. You will have to notch the floorboard to get the Chevy trans in, and I would set up a Ford 9 inch for the rear end, and install coil overs, while your at it. When your done, it will have all been worth it.
There are adapters for everything.
The make and model would help because Ford, Chevy and Mopar made small blocks.
I can't recall any Chevy using a 302. It was the classic Ford small block used in early Mustangs. Chevrolet did produce a small block 302 used exclusively in the 1967 - 1969 Camaro Z/28.
Ford Courier was created in 1972.
Big block
A 350 cid is a small block Chevy engine. A Ford F350 is a one ton truck not an engine.
inside door handle of a ford courier
There is no such thing as a 1984 Ford Courier, Ford stopped selling them after 1982
No. The 302 is a small block only. However, the 351, came as a Windsor, or small block, and a Cleveland, which was a big block...
No there is no "big" or "small" block Pontiacs. The terms "small" and "big" block are Chevy & ford terms. Pontiac blocks were thesame physical size from the 1955 287 right through the last 400 cast in 1978. All blocks had a bore centerline of 4.62 inches, which puts them right between the small block Chevy (4.40 inches) and the big block Chevy (4.84 inches). There were short deck versions built- the 1969-1970 303 race engine (about 25 made), and the production 265,301 built from 1977-1981. ALL 287,316,326,350,347,370,389,400,421,428,455 engines are the same exterior block dimensions.
Chevy 327 Small Block, or Chevy 427 Big Block for horsepower, being bullet proof, very inexpensive, lasts a lifetime. Just really personal opinion really. :)
This is the Escort answer page not the courier.
