No. Remember that Philadelphia didn't use a P mint mark on $1 coins until 1979, so anything struck in Philly before that will have a blank mint mark position.

These coins are normally just called "Peace dollars" because ALL $1 coins up till that time had a picture of Miss Liberty on them, and to this day all US Coins carry the word LIBERTY.

Where is mint mark on old silver dollars?

For Morgan silver dollars, the mark is on the reverse (tails) side, just above the letters "do" in "dollar." Then on Peace dollars, the mark is also on the reverse, below the word "one."

What is the value of a Morgan peace and liberty silver dollar?

Please post a new and rephrased question with more details. Morgan (1878-1904, 1921) and Peace (1921-35) dollars are separate issues, and both of them carry both the word Liberty and a picture of Miss Liberty so technically both types are "Liberty dollars". In any case to determine values you need to know the exact date, how worn each coin is, and whether there is a mint mark on the back. Morgan dollars can have a mint mark above the DO in DOLLAR - blank, S, CC, or O, also D for 1921. Peace dollars may be blank or have a D or S near the word ONE.

Are there mint marks on all silver dollars?

No. Silver dollars minted at Philadelphia did not carry mint marks. Mint mark positions are: Seated Liberty dollars - under the eagle Morgan dollars - above the DO in DOLLAR Peace dollars - between the word ONE and the eagle's tail feathers. Mint mark letters are: blank = Philadelphia D = Denver S = San Francisco O = New Orleans CC = Carson City Dollars weren't minted every year at every mint, so there are many gaps in the series.

What is the vaule of a liberty peace dollar with just the head of liberty and an eagle on the backthere is no mint mark to be seen anywhere on it.?

ALL Peace dollars look like that, except for the presence or absence of a mint mark. Peace dollars without a mint mark were struck in Philadelphia. If there were a mint mark it would be a small D or S between the word ONE and the eagle's tail. The value of your coin depends on how worn it is and what its date is. You didn't provide that information, so the best I can say is that as of 07/2008 most Philadelphia-issue Peace dollars retail for $15 to $20 depending on wear. The big exception is the scarce 1928 date which retails for $350 to $425.
