Yes, most of the parts from your 1992 will fit the 1993. The interchange for the Pontiac Grand Am of this generation is 1992-1995. Watch yourself in the 95 year models though, because I think they changed the body style towards mid 95.
Good Luck,
Tim
A 1989 instrument cluster will not work in a 1993 Nissan 240 SX. You will need a 1990 to 1994Êinstrument cluster.
The instrument cluster ground needs repaired. The instrument cluster ground needs repaired.
Answer is No, I just tried having a 92 and 93 ls 400. Plugs are different and dash config is different.
The fuse is mounted in the fuse box in the right hand side of the engine bay. you will have to unclip the lid of the fuse box and the instrument cluster fuse is no.3
check the instrument cluster connection in back .. i got one and they would work sometimes then shut off .. i hit the dash cluster and they came on .. hense a bad connection at back plug on instrument cluster .. it runs through the plug at back of instrument cluster. sometimes the connection gets dirty doesnt make good contact. clean them up . fix is to take the instrument cluster out and clean up the connections in back.
When you bought it did they tell you it would have to be programmed by the dealership?
yes the cluster works for 89 90 91 92 93
It is not difficult. First you have to remove the 12vot cigarette lighter plastic and then remove the radio. 4 screws for the radio. Then you have to remove the panel that goes from the radio up to the instrument cluster. This panel has 4 screws. 2 of them are on top of the instrument cluster (visible) and the other two should be visible after removal of radio.
The PCM is located behind the instrument cluster above the pedals on the drivers side.
The dealer has to program it.
Generally the speedometer cable starts at the transmission and ends at the instrument cluster. Visually inspect from the firewall in the area of the instrument cluster and track back to the transmission. You should be able to find it with no problems. --mark
