A lot of the resulting x-ray views of a healed bone depend on the severity and type of break. If it were a small fracture, there could be little or no evidence of the injury. More serious fractures of breaks will leave a darker line of scar tissue. Unset breaks will may result in an offset healing with bones mending, but not straight or properly. Severe bone scarring may take the form of lumps or tumor looking masses. Of course any break requiring screws or plates will show any remaining hardware and scarring or marking of the holes drilled for placement and securing, as well as the scarring from the healed bone.
You can see a long or short line (the fracture) and if it is a little different from the first x-ray it's healing. Most fractures do heal. I fractured my left ankle and it took several weeks for me to walk on it properly.
very probably
Usually to check for broken bones or bone malformations.
The xray will show the bones being close together
You get an xray taken at a hosbital and it is used to see if you have a fractured or broken bone
Xray Scanners
X rays show up the damage that arthritis does to bone and will show the proximity of one bone to another which indicates damage or wear to cartilage.
yes, i have a tumor in my femur and that's how they found it.
xray
The tibia is one of two bones that make up your lower leg (the part of your leg that starts at the knee and ends at the ankle). The other bone is called the Fibula. A tibia xray is a way of looking at the density of those two bones in your lower leg, often with the intention of identifying a fracture, or broken bone.
When you go to the doctor to have a broken bone set, it is a pretty basic procedure. The doctor will first xray the area and find where the break is. Next he/she will push the broken bone back together to form one piece again. Then, more then likely you will get to pick out the color of your cast!!!
yes
not only are broken bones painful, but fractures can be easily detected by an xray. where bones are seriously broken, the limb or area may be mangled and disfigured. fractures can be seen in xrays and the area may swell and turn bluish black or appear severely bruised.
The Xray reveals that you have a benign fatty tumor in a bone... inter (inside) osseous (bone)
