baby oil is safe for dog ear mites or feline mites but you must wipe the ears out in between applications.
Yes; any light vegetable will work.
One of two reasons, either the rabbit has injured its ear and has an infection or your rabbit has ear mites which also cause an infection. If it is ear mites you can get rid of them by mixing iodine (a few drops) in baby oil and coating the ear with it. When you get rid of the ear mites (by smothering them with the oil every 2 days) you will need to treat with oil again in 10 days to smother the babies that hatch out of the eggs laid under the skin of the ear (which is what causes the infection). If the infection is really bad your rabbit may need antibiotics which it may need if it has an infection for a wound to it's ear.
no you can not take your cat to the vet!
First make sure that the sore is not ear mites. Any application of neosporin on a cotton swap will heal an injury. IF IT IS NOT EAR MITES! A few drops of mineral oil will aid in removing ear mites. Your vet will also have a solution available for this application.
baby oil
First off, baby oil should not be eaten. And instead of vegetable oil, try other oils like canola, grapeseed, peanut, or olive oils.
Ear mites in cats cause extreme discomfort, and can lead to much more serious conditions if left untreated. Mites should be treated with a product made specifically for that purpose. Most miticides are formulated in one of two ways: a bit more dilute solution which is instilled in the ears every day for about 10 days, or a stronger solution that is used every 2 days for about a week (about 3 treatments). Treatment is geared to the reproductive cycle of the mites, so as to catch those that hatch between treatments. Your vet can recommend one. Using vegetable oils might drown a few mites, but won't get rid of them, and could put the cat's health at risk. The oil belongs in a salad dressing, not in the delicate workings of a cat's ear :o)
Yes it does .I have a ear ache and I'm using it now
I have a lab puppy and at my house we use a wipe or a Qytip. What I use to clean my dogs and cats ears is a Q-tip and baby oil or skin so soft. Kills ear mites as well.
