The Bionicle movie was not made in chronological order, or in order. The second movie (BIONICLE 2: Legends of Metru Nui) is actually a whole flashback from years ago, when the Turaga of Mata Nui were the Toa Metru. The whole story of the movie is told by Turaga Vakama, who tells about his live as a Toa. (the same goes for the third movie: BIONICLE 3, Web of Shadows)
